--- title: AdBlue in diesel in Haxby York: local drainer from £89 url: https://wrongfueldrain.com/adblue-in-diesel/haxby-york/ focus: adblue in diesel haxby york phone: 01295 380724 updated: 2026-09-30 --- # Local drainer for adblue in diesel in Haxby York **Short answer** If the engine has not run, adblue in diesel in Haxby York is usually a clean drain with no lasting harm. Keep it that way — don't start it — and ring 01295 380724. The call-out is £89, the drainer brings everything, and most jobs are done in 1 to 3 hours. What matters most is whether the fuel has moved beyond the tank. AdBlue belongs in the blue-capped tank. In the diesel tank it attacks the fuel system and has to be drained out before the engine runs. Then it is drain, flush, refuel and start. At home or at work they can do the whole thing on the drive or in the car park without moving it at all. ## Before you agree a price: what to ask You are going to pay for the job, so it is worth two minutes on the phone first. These are the questions that separate a straight quote from a surprise at the roadside. - Do you take card payment at the roadside? - Do you bring clean fuel, and is it included? - How long until you reach me in Haxby York? - Is there an extra charge at night or at the weekend? - Will you dispose of the contaminated fuel, and can I have a note of it? ## What to do right now - Keep the engine off and put the keys somewhere you will not absent-mindedly use them. - Move the car only by pushing, with help, and only if it is blocking a pump. - Phone 01295 380724 and describe what happened. - Confirm the quote — call-out from £89 — and the arrival window. - The drainer empties the tank into a sealed container and flushes through. - After a refuel and a test run, the waste fuel leaves with the drainer for licensed disposal. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Haxby York. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee now starts at just £89 and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **What if I have already driven home?** Leave it on the drive with the engine off and call 01295 380724. The drainer can do the whole job at your house. **Can you drain a van or a lorry?** Vans, yes, routinely. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are quoted separately because of the volume involved. **How long does a drain take in Haxby York?** Usually 1 to 3 hours on site once the drainer arrives. Longer if the engine was started, because the filter and lines need flushing as well as the tank. **Can you drain a hire car or a company car?** Yes. Tell the hire company or fleet manager too; many prefer a drain on site to a recovery. **Do I need to stay with the car?** Ideally yes, so the drainer can confirm what happened and hand the keys back. If not, agree access on the phone. **Can I pay by card?** Yes. Card payment is taken on site once the job is done. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
