AdBlue in the petrol tank in Castletroy Limerick: a local drainer
Call 01295 380724 before touching the ignition. We cover Castletroy Limerick through partner drainers rather than our own vans, and we will connect you to one nearby. AdBlue is mostly water with urea in it; in a petrol tank it corrodes the fuel system and needs a full drain and flush. They quote and confirm before travelling.
How Ireland works
Wrong Fuel Drain operates its own mobile technicians across the UK. In Ireland we do not run our own vans — we work with local fuel drainers and connect you to one covering Castletroy Limerick. Call 01295 380724 and we will pass you straight to a drainer in your area with the details of the vehicle and the fuels involved, so you are not repeating the story twice. Pricing and attendance times are set by the local operator, not by us, so ask them to confirm both before they travel.

What the drainer does when they reach you in Castletroy Limerick
Expect a van with a pump and a sealed waste tank. The drainer drains the tank, flushes the system through, refuels with enough clean fuel to reach a forecourt, then starts the engine and lets it settle. You do not need a garage and the vehicle does not move until it is ready.
Five things to ask a drainer before they set off
You are going to pay for the job, so it is worth two minutes on the phone first. These are the questions that separate a straight quote from a surprise at the roadside.
- Can you work on the forecourt, or does the car need to be moved?
- What is the total, not just the call-out, if it is a straight drain?
- Will you check the filter and pump if the engine ran?
- Is the vehicle over 3.5 tonnes, and does that change the price?
- Will you dispose of the contaminated fuel, and can I have a note of it?
What to do right now
- Stop. Do not start the engine, even for a moment.
- Note the fuel type, the amount you put in and whether the car was already low.
- Ring 01295 380724 and give the location — a postcode or the filling station name is enough.
- Get the full price and an arrival time before you agree.
- A drainer attends, drains and flushes the fuel system where the car is parked.
- Clean fuel goes in, the engine is run, and you drive to the next forecourt to fill up.

From the drainer's notebook
Fuel Fixer, the company behind Wrong Fuel Drain, holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 2,190 reviews on Trustpilot, on a profile claimed since 2017.
Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Castletroy Limerick.
The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee is set by the local drainer in Ireland and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside.
Common questions
Can I drive to a garage with adblue in the petrol tank?
No. Every mile pushes the fuel further through the pump and injectors. A drainer comes to you, so there is no reason to move the car under its own power.
I only put a little in — do I still need a drain?
In most modern diesels, yes. Even a small amount of petrol reduces the lubrication the pump depends on. A drain is cheap compared with a pump.
Will you bring fuel?
Yes. The drainer adds enough of the correct fuel to start the engine and reach a filling station.
Does insurance cover adblue in the petrol tank?
Many policies exclude misfuelling. Some breakdown cover and optional add-ons include it. Check your policy wording before assuming either way.
How quickly can a drainer reach me in Castletroy Limerick?
Usually the same day and often within a couple of hours. The operator gives you an arrival window on 01295 380724 before you agree.
Do I need to move the car off the forecourt?
Only if it is blocking a pump. Push it into a bay with help and the engine off; the drainer can work there.
