AdBlue in the screen wash tank in Newcastle West: a local drainer
Keys out, then ring 01295 380724. For adblue in the screen wash tank in Newcastle West we connect you to an independent local drainer who covers the area, so you only explain it once. AdBlue in the washer bottle leaves a crystalline film on the glass and attacks seals and paint, so the bottle and lines are drained. Their price and arrival time are confirmed by them before they set off.
How Ireland works
Wrong Fuel Drain operates its own mobile technicians across the UK. In Ireland we do not run our own vans — we work with local fuel drainers and connect you to one covering Newcastle West. Call 01295 380724 and we will pass you straight to a drainer in your area with the details of the vehicle and the fuels involved, so you are not repeating the story twice. Pricing and attendance times are set by the local operator, not by us, so ask them to confirm both before they travel.

The drain itself, step by step in Newcastle West
First they confirm what went in and how much, and whether the engine ran — that decides how far they need to go. Then the tank is emptied into a sealed container, the fuel lines and filter are flushed where needed, clean fuel is added and the vehicle is started and checked before they sign it off.
What to ask on the phone before a drainer travels to Newcastle West
You are going to pay for the job, so it is worth two minutes on the phone first. These are the questions that separate a straight quote from a surprise at the roadside.
- How much more if the engine has already been started?
- How long until you reach me in Newcastle West?
- Will you check the filter and pump if the engine ran?
- Is the vehicle over 3.5 tonnes, and does that change the price?
- Is there an extra charge at night or at the weekend?
What to do right now
- Keep the engine off and put the keys somewhere you will not absent-mindedly use them.
- Move the car only by pushing, with help, and only if it is blocking a pump.
- Phone 01295 380724 and describe what happened.
- Confirm the quote — call-out from £89 — and the arrival window.
- The drainer empties the tank into a sealed container and flushes through.
- After a refuel and a test run, the waste fuel leaves with the drainer for licensed disposal.

From the drainer's notebook
Fuel Fixer, the company behind Wrong Fuel Drain, holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 2,190 reviews on Trustpilot, on a profile claimed since 2017.
Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Newcastle West.
The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee is set by the local drainer in Ireland and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside.
Common questions
What does it cost in Newcastle West?
The call-out starts at £89. The full price depends on the vehicle and how far the fuel got, and it is confirmed on 01295 380724 before anyone travels.
Does insurance cover adblue in the screen wash tank?
Many policies exclude misfuelling. Some breakdown cover and optional add-ons include it. Check your policy wording before assuming either way.
Is the drain messy?
No. The fuel is pumped into a sealed tank on the van, and a drip tray catches anything from the connection. The area is left as it was.
Will my engine be damaged?
Not if it has not been started. The wrong fuel sitting in the tank touches nothing that a drain cannot clear. Damage starts once it circulates.
Can you drain a van or a lorry?
Vans, yes, routinely. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are quoted separately because of the volume involved.
What happens to the fuel you take out?
It goes into a sealed tank on the drainer's van and is taken for licensed disposal and recycling. It is never tipped away.
