Fuel collection in Ferbane: collected and disposed of
Call 01295 380724 before touching the ignition. We cover Ferbane through partner drainers rather than our own vans, and we will connect you to one nearby. Unwanted, off-spec or surplus fuel is pumped out of tanks, drums and bowsers by a registered carrier and taken for recycling. They quote and confirm before travelling.
How Ireland works
Wrong Fuel Drain operates its own mobile technicians across the UK. In Ireland we do not run our own vans — we work with local fuel drainers and connect you to one covering Ferbane. Call 01295 380724 and we will pass you straight to a drainer in your area with the details of the vehicle and the fuels involved, so you are not repeating the story twice. Pricing and attendance times are set by the local operator, not by us, so ask them to confirm both before they travel.

- Work out what the fuel is and roughly how much there is.
- Ring 01295 380724 for a per-litre price.

- The paperwork is issued on site and the fuel goes for recycling.
Where drainers work in Ferbane
Collections across Ferbane are made from wherever the fuel is stored: the garden tank, the barn, the yard or the workshop. Access for a small tanker is all that is needed; tell the operator on 01295 380724 about gates, slopes or tight lanes.
The drainers who cover Ferbane also work Tullamore, Banagher, Birr and Edenderry, so a call from any of them is handled the same way.
Other drains in Ferbane
From the drainer's notebook
Fuel Fixer, the company behind Wrong Fuel Drain, holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 2,190 reviews on Trustpilot, on a profile claimed since 2017.
Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Ferbane.
The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee is set by the local drainer in Ireland and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside.
Common questions
Do you collect from farms and yards around Ferbane?
Yes, as well as homes, depots, marinas and commercial sites.
Can you take sludge from the bottom of the tank?
Yes. Residue and sludge are removed along with the fuel, and the tank is checked.
Do I get a waste transfer note for fuel collection?
Yes, at every collection. It documents your duty of care for the fuel.
How much can you take?
From a few drums up to a full commercial tank. Larger jobs are surveyed and scheduled.
Where does the fuel go?
To licensed processing and recycling. It is never poured away or burned.
Do I need to be there?
Only if the tank is not accessible without you. Otherwise, access instructions are enough.
