--- title: Fuel drain in Kilcoole: local drainer, Ireland url: https://wrongfueldrain.com/fuel-drain/kilcoole/ focus: fuel drain kilcoole phone: 01295 380724 updated: 2026-10-06 --- # Fuel drain in Kilcoole, Ireland **Short answer** Leave the engine off and call 01295 380724. In Ireland we do not run our own drainers — we put you through to a local one covering Kilcoole, with your vehicle and fuel details already passed on. A fuel drain empties the tank of whatever should not be there, flushes the lines and refills with the right fuel. The local drainer sets and confirms the price before travelling. [Call 01295 380724 — 24/7, nationwide](tel:+441295380724) ### How Ireland works Wrong Fuel Drain operates its own mobile technicians across the UK. In Ireland we do not run our own vans — we work with local fuel drainers and connect you to one covering Kilcoole. Call 01295 380724 and we will pass you straight to a drainer in your area with the details of the vehicle and the fuels involved, so you are not repeating the story twice. Pricing and attendance times are set by the local operator, not by us, so ask them to confirm both before they travel. ## The short version: fuel drain in Kilcoole Town | Kilcoole | Area | County Wicklow | Job | Fuel drain | Price | Set by the local drainer, agreed before travel | Time on site | 45–90 minutes | Who attends | An independent local drainer | Phone | 01295 380724, 24 hours | ## When a drainer arrives in Kilcoole On a forecourt the drainer will usually move the vehicle off the pump lane first, by hand, with the engine off. Then it is drain, flush, refuel and start. At home or at work they can do the whole thing on the drive or in the car park without moving it at all. ## Before you agree a price: what to ask You are going to pay for the job, so it is worth two minutes on the phone first. These are the questions that separate a straight quote from a surprise at the roadside. - Will you check the filter and pump if the engine ran? - Is there an extra charge at night or at the weekend? - Will you dispose of the contaminated fuel, and can I have a note of it? - Is the vehicle over 3.5 tonnes, and does that change the price? - Do you bring clean fuel, and is it included? ## What to do right now - Leave the ignition alone — on many cars even unlocking it powers the fuel pump. - Push the car clear of the pump if needed, with someone steering and the engine off. - Call 01295 380724 and give the fuel, the amount and your exact location. - Ask for the whole price, not just the call-out, and agree it. - The drainer drains the tank into a sealed container and flushes the lines. - Fresh fuel goes in, the engine is started and the waste fuel leaves with the drainer. Otherwise the drainer can work on your drive, at your workplace or at the kerb outside. The same van covers Baltinglass, Enniskerry, Blessington and Wicklow, which usually keeps arrival times short across this side of County Wicklow. ### Other drains in Kilcoole [AdBlue in diesel tank in Kilcoole](/adblue-in-diesel-tank/kilcoole/)[Petrol in AdBlue tank in Kilcoole](/petrol-in-adblue-tank/kilcoole/)[Water in diesel tank in Kilcoole](/water-in-diesel-tank/kilcoole/)[Petrol in diesel in Kilcoole](/petrol-in-diesel/kilcoole/)[Fuel collection in Kilcoole](/fuel-collection/kilcoole/)[Unleaded in diesel in Kilcoole](/unleaded-in-diesel/kilcoole/)[Mobile fuel drain in Kilcoole](/mobile-fuel-drain/kilcoole/)[Screen wash in petrol tank in Kilcoole](/screen-wash-in-petrol-tank/kilcoole/)[Water in AdBlue tank in Kilcoole](/water-in-adblue-tank/kilcoole/)[AdBlue in petrol tank in Kilcoole](/adblue-in-petrol-tank/kilcoole/)[Contaminated fuel collection in Kilcoole](/contaminated-fuel-collection/kilcoole/)[Fuel doctor in Kilcoole](/fuel-doctor/kilcoole/)[Wrong fuel rescue in Kilcoole](/wrong-fuel-rescue/kilcoole/)[Water in screen wash tank in Kilcoole](/water-in-screen-wash-tank/kilcoole/)[Fuel fixer in Kilcoole](/fuel-fixer/kilcoole/)[Screen wash in diesel tank in Kilcoole](/screen-wash-in-diesel-tank/kilcoole/) ### Drainers nearby [Bray](/areas/bray/)[Greystones](/areas/greystones/)[Wicklow](/areas/wicklow/)[Arklow](/areas/arklow/)[Blessington](/areas/blessington/)[Newtownmountkennedy](/areas/newtownmountkennedy/)[Rathdrum](/areas/rathdrum/)[Baltinglass](/areas/baltinglass/)[Enniskerry](/areas/enniskerry/)[Bray](/areas/bray-wicklow/)[Greystones](/areas/greystones-wicklow/) ### More of County Wicklow [Wicklow](/fuel-drain/wicklow/)[Arklow](/fuel-drain/arklow/)[Baltinglass](/fuel-drain/baltinglass/)[Blessington](/fuel-drain/blessington/)[Bray](/fuel-drain/bray-wicklow/)[Enniskerry](/fuel-drain/enniskerry/)[Greystones](/fuel-drain/greystones-wicklow/)[Newtownmountkennedy](/fuel-drain/newtownmountkennedy/)[Rathdrum](/fuel-drain/rathdrum/) ### From the drainer's notebook [Adblue in diesel tank in Chester: a drainer's notes](/blog/adblue-in-diesel-tank-in-chester-drainers-notes/)[Water in diesel tank in Glasgow: a drainer's notes](/blog/water-in-diesel-tank-in-glasgow-drainers-notes/)[Diesel in petrol in Leicester: a drainer's notes](/blog/diesel-in-petrol-in-leicester-drainers-notes/)[Fuel drain in Norwich: a drainer's notes](/blog/fuel-drain-in-norwich-drainers-notes/)[Petrol in diesel in Belfast: a drainer's notes](/blog/petrol-in-diesel-in-belfast-drainers-notes/) ### Answers [How to drain my fuel tank?](/answers/how-to-drain-my-fuel-tank/)[How can i drain my fuel tank?](/answers/how-can-i-drain-my-fuel-tank/) **4.8** out of 5 ★★★★★ Fuel Fixer, the company behind Wrong Fuel Drain, holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from [2,190 reviews on Trustpilot](https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.fuelfixer.co.uk), on a profile claimed since 2017. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Kilcoole. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee is set by the local drainer in Ireland and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **How quickly can a drainer reach me in Kilcoole?** Usually the same day and often within a couple of hours. The operator gives you an arrival window on 01295 380724 before you agree. **Can I drive to a garage with fuel drain?** No. Every mile pushes the fuel further through the pump and injectors. A drainer comes to you, so there is no reason to move the car under its own power. **What if I have already driven home?** Leave it on the drive with the engine off and call 01295 380724. The drainer can do the whole job at your house. **The engine is running rough — is that the wrong fuel?** If it started shortly after filling up, very likely. Pull over when it is safe, switch off and call 01295 380724. **What happens to the fuel you take out?** It goes into a sealed tank on the drainer's van and is taken for licensed disposal and recycling. It is never tipped away. **How long does a drain take in Kilcoole?** Usually 45 to 90 minutes on site once the drainer arrives. Longer if the engine was started, because the filter and lines need flushing as well as the tank. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
