Fuel fixer in Fulford York is drained on site by a local drainer: pumped out, flushed and refilled in about 45 to 90 minutes. Call-out from £89 — call 01295 380724 and you get the figure before anyone drives to you. The mechanism is simple. Fuel Fixer is the company behind the drainers on this site, working across the UK since before misfuel drains were common. The drainer drains the tank, flushes the system through, refuels with enough clean fuel to reach a forecourt, then starts the engine and lets it settle. You do not need a garage and the vehicle does not move until it is ready. ## What to ask on the phone before a drainer travels to Fulford York A drainer should be happy to answer all of these on the phone. If they will not give a price before travelling, ring someone else. - Will you dispose of the contaminated fuel, and can I have a note of it? - Can you work on the forecourt, or does the car need to be moved? - Do you take card payment at the roadside? - What is the total, not just the call-out, if it is a straight drain? - How much more if the engine has already been started? ## What to do right now - Stop. Do not start the engine, even for a moment. - Note the fuel type, the amount you put in and whether the car was already low. - Ring 01295 380724 and give the location — a postcode or the filling station name is enough. - Get the full price and an arrival time before you agree. - A drainer attends, drains and flushes the fuel system where the car is parked. - Clean fuel goes in, the engine is run, and you drive to the next forecourt to fill up. [Call 01295 380724 now](tel:+441295380724) ## Which Fulford York postcodes we cover Coverage takes in postcode district YO10 in York. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Fulford York. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee now starts at just £89 and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **What if I have already driven home?** Leave it on the drive with the engine off and call 01295 380724. The drainer can do the whole job at your house. **Does insurance cover fuel fixer?** Many policies exclude misfuelling. Some breakdown cover and optional add-ons include it. Check your policy wording before assuming either way. **Can you drain a van or a lorry?** Vans, yes, routinely. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are quoted separately because of the volume involved. **Can you drain a hire car or a company car?** Yes. Tell the hire company or fleet manager too; many prefer a drain on site to a recovery. **Do you work at night in Fulford York?** Yes. Drainers work 24 hours a day, including weekends and bank holidays. **Do I need to stay with the car?** Ideally yes, so the drainer can confirm what happened and hand the keys back. If not, agree access on the phone. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
