Call 01295 380724 and we will pass you straight to a drainer in your area with the details of the vehicle and the fuels involved, so you are not repeating the story twice. Pricing and attendance times are set by the local operator, not by us, so ask them to confirm both before they travel. ## Petrol in the AdBlue tank in Castletroy Limerick: the facts Town | Castletroy Limerick | Area | Limerick | Job | Petrol in the AdBlue tank | Price | Set by the local drainer, agreed before travel | Time on site | 1–3 hours | Who attends | An independent local drainer | Phone | 01295 380724, 24 hours | ## On arrival in Castletroy Limerick: what happens next The drainer parks up, checks the vehicle has not been started and makes the area safe with cones and a drip tray. The fuel is pumped out through the filler or the fuel line into a sealed tank on the van, the lines are flushed, a few litres of the right fuel go in, and the engine is started and run until it idles cleanly. The contaminated fuel leaves with them. ## Five things to ask a drainer before they set off Most bad experiences with a fuel drain come from not asking these up front. Ask them all. - Is there an extra charge at night or at the weekend? - How much more if the engine has already been started? - How long until you reach me in Castletroy Limerick? - Do you take card payment at the roadside? - Do you bring clean fuel, and is it included? ## What to do right now - Leave the ignition alone — on many cars even unlocking it powers the fuel pump. - Push the car clear of the pump if needed, with someone steering and the engine off. - Call 01295 380724 and give the fuel, the amount and your exact location. - Ask for the whole price, not just the call-out, and agree it. - The drainer drains the tank into a sealed container and flushes the lines. - Fresh fuel goes in, the engine is started and the waste fuel leaves with the drainer. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Castletroy Limerick. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee is set by the local drainer in Ireland and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **Do you work at night in Castletroy Limerick?** Yes. Drainers work 24 hours a day, including weekends and bank holidays. **Can I pay by card?** Yes. Card payment is taken on site once the job is done. **Can you drain a hire car or a company car?** Yes. Tell the hire company or fleet manager too; many prefer a drain on site to a recovery. **I only put a little in — do I still need a drain?** In most modern diesels, yes. Even a small amount of petrol reduces the lubrication the pump depends on. A drain is cheap compared with a pump. **Do I need to stay with the car?** Ideally yes, so the drainer can confirm what happened and hand the keys back. If not, agree access on the phone. **Do I need to move the car off the forecourt?** Only if it is blocking a pump. Push it into a bay with help and the engine off; the drainer can work there. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
