Red diesel in the tank in Abbeyfeale is handled by a local drainer we work with in Ireland — call 01295 380724 and we hand you over with the details. Mechanically red diesel runs, but in a road vehicle it is a duty offence; the tank is drained, flushed and the fuel disposed of under licence. Pricing is the local operator's, agreed with you first. In Ireland we do not run our own vans — we work with local fuel drainers and connect you to one covering Abbeyfeale. Call 01295 380724 and we will pass you straight to a drainer in your area with the details of the vehicle and the fuels involved, so you are not repeating the story twice. Pricing and attendance times are set by the local operator, not by us, so ask them to confirm both before they travel. ## The short version: red diesel in the tank in Abbeyfeale Town | Abbeyfeale | Area | County Limerick | Job | Red diesel or agricultural fuel in a road vehicle | Price | Set by the local drainer, agreed before travel | Time on site | 1–2 hours | Who attends | An independent local drainer | Phone | 01295 380724, 24 hours | ## On arrival in Abbeyfeale: what happens next On a forecourt the drainer will usually move the vehicle off the pump lane first, by hand, with the engine off. Then it is drain, flush, refuel and start. At home or at work they can do the whole thing on the drive or in the car park without moving it at all. ## Five things to ask a drainer before they set off None of these are awkward questions. Any drainer worth calling will answer them before setting off. - Will you check the filter and pump if the engine ran? - Is there an extra charge at night or at the weekend? - What is the total, not just the call-out, if it is a straight drain? - Do you bring clean fuel, and is it included? - Will you dispose of the contaminated fuel, and can I have a note of it? ## What to do right now - Keep the engine off and put the keys somewhere you will not absent-mindedly use them. - Move the car only by pushing, with help, and only if it is blocking a pump. - Phone 01295 380724 and describe what happened. - Confirm the quote — call-out from £89 — and the arrival window. - The drainer empties the tank into a sealed container and flushes through. - After a refuel and a test run, the waste fuel leaves with the drainer for licensed disposal. If you are on a motorway hard shoulder, call the emergency services first; the drainer can meet you once the vehicle is somewhere safe. The drainers who cover Abbeyfeale also work Adare, Castleconnell, Limerick and Newcastle West, so a call from any of them is handled the same way. ### Other drains in Abbeyfeale [Screen wash in diesel tank in Abbeyfeale](/screen-wash-in-diesel-tank/abbeyfeale/)[Wrong fuel symptoms in Abbeyfeale](/wrong-fuel-symptoms/abbeyfeale/)[Wrong fuel engine damage in Abbeyfeale](/wrong-fuel-damage/abbeyfeale/)[Kerosene disposal in Abbeyfeale](/kerosene-disposal/abbeyfeale/)[Fuel fixer in Abbeyfeale](/fuel-fixer/abbeyfeale/)[Wrong fuel rescue in Abbeyfeale](/wrong-fuel-rescue/abbeyfeale/)[Fuel doctor in Abbeyfeale](/fuel-doctor/abbeyfeale/)[Kerosene collection in Abbeyfeale](/kerosene-collection/abbeyfeale/)[Unleaded in diesel in Abbeyfeale](/unleaded-in-diesel/abbeyfeale/)[Screen wash in petrol tank in Abbeyfeale](/screen-wash-in-petrol-tank/abbeyfeale/)[Heating oil disposal in Abbeyfeale](/heating-oil-disposal/abbeyfeale/)[Water in petrol tank in Abbeyfeale](/water-in-petrol-tank/abbeyfeale/)[Screen wash in AdBlue tank in Abbeyfeale](/screen-wash-in-adblue-tank/abbeyfeale/)[Water in AdBlue tank in Abbeyfeale](/water-in-adblue-tank/abbeyfeale/)[Wrong fuel drain cost in Abbeyfeale](/wrong-fuel-cost/abbeyfeale/)[Diesel in gasoline in Abbeyfeale](/diesel-in-gasoline/abbeyfeale/) ### Drainers nearby [Limerick](/areas/limerick/)[Newcastle West](/areas/newcastle-west/)[Kilmallock](/areas/kilmallock/)[Rathkeale](/areas/rathkeale/)[Adare](/areas/adare/)[Castleconnell](/areas/castleconnell/)[Croom](/areas/croom/)[Askeaton](/areas/askeaton/)[Patrickswell](/areas/patrickswell/)[Newcastle West](/areas/newcastle-west-limerick/) ### More of County Limerick [Limerick](/red-diesel-in-tank/limerick/)[Adare](/red-diesel-in-tank/adare/)[Askeaton](/red-diesel-in-tank/askeaton/)[Castleconnell](/red-diesel-in-tank/castleconnell/)[Croom](/red-diesel-in-tank/croom/)[Kilmallock](/red-diesel-in-tank/kilmallock/)[Newcastle West](/red-diesel-in-tank/newcastle-west-limerick/)[Patrickswell](/red-diesel-in-tank/patrickswell/)[Rathkeale](/red-diesel-in-tank/rathkeale/) ### From the drainer's notebook [Leeds fuel drainers: the area guide](/blog/leeds-fuel-drainers-area-guide/)[Manchester fuel drainers: the area guide](/blog/manchester-fuel-drainers-area-guide/)[Southampton fuel drainers: the area guide](/blog/southampton-fuel-drainers-area-guide/)[Reading fuel drainers: the area guide](/blog/reading-fuel-drainers-area-guide/)[Bolton fuel drainers: the area guide](/blog/bolton-fuel-drainers-area-guide/) ### Answers [Can i put red diesel in my car?](/answers/can-i-put-red-diesel-in-my-car/) **4.8** out of 5 ★★★★★ Fuel Fixer, the company behind Wrong Fuel Drain, holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from [2,190 reviews on Trustpilot](https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.fuelfixer.co.uk), on a profile claimed since 2017. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Abbeyfeale. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee is set by the local drainer in Ireland and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **What does it cost in Abbeyfeale?** The call-out starts at £89. The full price depends on the vehicle and how far the fuel got, and it is confirmed on 01295 380724 before anyone travels. **What if I have already driven home?** Leave it on the drive with the engine off and call 01295 380724. The drainer can do the whole job at your house. **How quickly can a drainer reach me in Abbeyfeale?** Usually the same day and often within a couple of hours. The operator gives you an arrival window on 01295 380724 before you agree. **Do I need to stay with the car?** Ideally yes, so the drainer can confirm what happened and hand the keys back. If not, agree access on the phone. **Can you drain a hire car or a company car?** Yes. Tell the hire company or fleet manager too; many prefer a drain on site to a recovery. **Will the car need a service afterwards?** Not after a straight drain. If the engine ran on the wrong fuel, the drainer will tell you whether the filter should be changed. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
