--- title: Water in diesel tank in Dorking: local drainer from £89 url: https://wrongfueldrain.com/water-in-diesel-tank/dorking/ focus: water in the diesel tank dorking phone: 01295 380724 updated: 2026-10-06 --- # Water in the diesel tank in Dorking, drained on the spot **Short answer** The single most useful thing you can do now is nothing — leave the engine off. Then call 01295 380724. A drainer who works Dorking drains water in the diesel tank on the spot, flushes through and refuels, typically in 1 to 2 hours, with a call-out from £89 confirmed up front. What matters most is whether the fuel has moved beyond the tank. Water is heavier than diesel, so it sits at the bottom of the tank and reaches the pump first, stripping lubrication and stopping the engine. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Dorking. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee now starts at just £89 and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **What does it cost in Dorking?** The call-out starts at £89. The full price depends on the vehicle and how far the fuel got, and it is confirmed on 01295 380724 before anyone travels. **What if I have already driven home?** Leave it on the drive with the engine off and call 01295 380724. The drainer can do the whole job at your house. **Does insurance cover water in the diesel tank?** Many policies exclude misfuelling. Some breakdown cover and optional add-ons include it. Check your policy wording before assuming either way. **What happens to the fuel you take out?** It goes into a sealed tank on the drainer's van and is taken for licensed disposal and recycling. It is never tipped away. **The engine is running rough — is that the wrong fuel?** If it started shortly after filling up, very likely. Pull over when it is safe, switch off and call 01295 380724. **Do I need to stay with the car?** Ideally yes, so the drainer can confirm what happened and hand the keys back. If not, agree access on the phone. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
