The answers decide whether it is a straight drain or a drain plus a flush of the filter and pump. Either way it happens where the vehicle is parked. ## Questions worth asking before you book a drain in Garryowen Limerick A drainer should be happy to answer all of these on the phone. If they will not give a price before travelling, ring someone else. - Do you bring clean fuel, and is it included? - Will you check the filter and pump if the engine ran? - Will you dispose of the contaminated fuel, and can I have a note of it? - What is the total, not just the call-out, if it is a straight drain? - Is there an extra charge at night or at the weekend? ## What to do right now - Don't turn the key. - Check what went in: the receipt and the pump number tell you the fuel and the litres. - Call 01295 380724 with those details and your location. - Get a price that covers the whole job, then book. - The drainer arrives, drains the tank, flushes the lines and filter if needed. - You get clean fuel, a running engine and a note of what was removed. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Garryowen Limerick. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee is set by the local drainer in Ireland and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **Do I need to stay with the car?** Ideally yes, so the drainer can confirm what happened and hand the keys back. If not, agree access on the phone. **The engine is running rough — is that the wrong fuel?** If it started shortly after filling up, very likely. Pull over when it is safe, switch off and call 01295 380724. **Can I drive to a garage with water in the petrol tank?** No. Every mile pushes the fuel further through the pump and injectors. A drainer comes to you, so there is no reason to move the car under its own power. **Will the car need a service afterwards?** Not after a straight drain. If the engine ran on the wrong fuel, the drainer will tell you whether the filter should be changed. **How quickly can a drainer reach me in Garryowen Limerick?** Usually the same day and often within a couple of hours. The operator gives you an arrival window on 01295 380724 before you agree. **Is the drain messy?** No. The fuel is pumped into a sealed tank on the van, and a drip tray catches anything from the connection. The area is left as it was. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
