Then call 01295 380724. A drainer who works Fairwater Cardiff drains water in the screen wash tank on the spot, flushes through and refuels, typically in 45 to 90 minutes, with a call-out from £89 confirmed up front. Plain water in the washer bottle freezes in winter and can crack the bottle, the pump or the lines; it is drained and refilled with proper fluid. A full tank of the wrong fuel takes longer to pump than a few litres, so the drainer will tell you roughly how long it will be once they see the gauge. After that it is a flush, a refuel and a test run before they leave. ## Questions worth asking before you book a drain in Fairwater Cardiff Most bad experiences with a fuel drain come from not asking these up front. Ask them all. - Will you dispose of the contaminated fuel, and can I have a note of it? - Do you bring clean fuel, and is it included? - How long until you reach me in Fairwater Cardiff? - Do you take card payment at the roadside? - How much more if the engine has already been started? ## What to do right now - Stop. Do not start the engine, even for a moment. - Note the fuel type, the amount you put in and whether the car was already low. - Ring 01295 380724 and give the location — a postcode or the filling station name is enough. - Get the full price and an arrival time before you agree. - A drainer attends, drains and flushes the fuel system where the car is parked. - Clean fuel goes in, the engine is run, and you drive to the next forecourt to fill up. [Call 01295 380724 now](tel:+441295380724) ## Fairwater Cardiff postcodes Coverage takes in postcode district CF5 in Cardiff. If you are just outside, call anyway — the drainer covering the next area will usually come. ## Where you can be drained in Fairwater Cardiff Forecourt staff in Fairwater Cardiff see this every week and will usually let the vehicle sit in a bay until the drainer arrives. Otherwise the drainer can work on your drive, at your workplace or at the kerb outside. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Fairwater Cardiff. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee now starts at just £89 and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **Will my engine be damaged?** Not if it has not been started. The wrong fuel sitting in the tank touches nothing that a drain cannot clear. Damage starts once it circulates. **Is the drain messy?** No. The fuel is pumped into a sealed tank on the van, and a drip tray catches anything from the connection. The area is left as it was. **What does it cost in Fairwater Cardiff?** The call-out starts at £89. The full price depends on the vehicle and how far the fuel got, and it is confirmed on 01295 380724 before anyone travels. **Can I pay by card?** Yes. Card payment is taken on site once the job is done. **Will you bring fuel?** Yes. The drainer adds enough of the correct fuel to start the engine and reach a filling station. **How quickly can a drainer reach me in Fairwater Cardiff?** Usually the same day and often within a couple of hours. The operator gives you an arrival window on 01295 380724 before you agree. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
