Wrong fuel in a van in Greystones is handled by a local drainer we work with in Ireland — call 01295 380724 and we hand you over with the details. Vans hold more fuel and cost more per hour off the road; the drain is the same job, just longer. Over 3.5 tonnes is quoted separately. Pricing is the local operator's, agreed with you first. [Call 01295 380724 — 24/7, nationwide](tel:+441295380724) ### How Ireland works Wrong Fuel Drain operates its own mobile technicians across the UK. In Ireland we do not run our own vans — we work with local fuel drainers and connect you to one covering Greystones. Call 01295 380724 and we will pass you straight to a drainer in your area with the details of the vehicle and the fuels involved, so you are not repeating the story twice. Pricing and attendance times are set by the local operator, not by us, so ask them to confirm both before they travel. ## The short version: wrong fuel in a van in Greystones Town | Greystones | Area | County Wicklow | Job | Wrong fuel in a van, HGV or fleet vehicle | Price | Set by the local drainer, agreed before travel | Time on site | 1–3 hours | Who attends | An independent local drainer | Phone | 01295 380724, 24 hours | ## When a drainer arrives in Greystones First they confirm what went in and how much, and whether the engine ran — that decides how far they need to go. Then the tank is emptied into a sealed container, the fuel lines and filter are flushed where needed, clean fuel is added and the vehicle is started and checked before they sign it off. ## What to ask on the phone before a drainer travels to Greystones You are going to pay for the job, so it is worth two minutes on the phone first. These are the questions that separate a straight quote from a surprise at the roadside. - Will you dispose of the contaminated fuel, and can I have a note of it? - Do you take card payment at the roadside? - How long until you reach me in Greystones? - How much more if the engine has already been started? - Is there an extra charge at night or at the weekend? ## What to do right now - Don't turn the key. - Check what went in: the receipt and the pump number tell you the fuel and the litres. - Call 01295 380724 with those details and your location. - Get a price that covers the whole job, then book. - The drainer arrives, drains the tank, flushes the lines and filter if needed. - You get clean fuel, a running engine and a note of what was removed. [Call 01295 380724 now](tel:+441295380724) ## Forecourt, roadside or drive: where we drain in Greystones Across Greystones, County Wicklow, Ireland the common locations are the filling station itself, a lay-by a mile or two down the road, and home. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Greystones. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee is set by the local drainer in Ireland and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **Do you work at night in Greystones?** Yes. Drainers work 24 hours a day, including weekends and bank holidays. **Do I need to stay with the car?** Ideally yes, so the drainer can confirm what happened and hand the keys back. If not, agree access on the phone. **What does it cost in Greystones?** The call-out starts at £89. The full price depends on the vehicle and how far the fuel got, and it is confirmed on 01295 380724 before anyone travels. **I only put a little in — do I still need a drain?** In most modern diesels, yes. Even a small amount of petrol reduces the lubrication the pump depends on. A drain is cheap compared with a pump. **What happens to the fuel you take out?** It goes into a sealed tank on the drainer's van and is taken for licensed disposal and recycling. It is never tipped away. **Does insurance cover wrong fuel in a van?** Many policies exclude misfuelling. Some breakdown cover and optional add-ons include it. Check your policy wording before assuming either way. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
