Wrong fuel in a van in Upton is drained on site by a local drainer: pumped out, flushed and refilled in about 1 to 3 hours. Call-out from £89 — call 01295 380724 and you get the figure before anyone drives to you. Here is why it matters. Vans hold more fuel and cost more per hour off the road; the drain is the same job, just longer. Over 3.5 tonnes is quoted separately. The drainer drains the tank, flushes the system through, refuels with enough clean fuel to reach a forecourt, then starts the engine and lets it settle. You do not need a garage and the vehicle does not move until it is ready. ## Five things to ask a drainer before they set off None of these are awkward questions. Any drainer worth calling will answer them before setting off. - Will you check the filter and pump if the engine ran? - Is the vehicle over 3.5 tonnes, and does that change the price? - Is there an extra charge at night or at the weekend? - Do you bring clean fuel, and is it included? - Do you take card payment at the roadside? ## What to do right now - Don't press the start button or turn the key. - Take a photo of the pump display: it shows the fuel type and the litres. - Ring 01295 380724 and describe where the car is. - Agree the price before booking — the call-out starts at £89. - The drainer empties the tank and flushes the system where the car stands. - They refuel, start the engine and check it before handing back the keys. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Upton. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee now starts at just £89 and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **Does insurance cover wrong fuel in a van?** Many policies exclude misfuelling. Some breakdown cover and optional add-ons include it. Check your policy wording before assuming either way. **Do I need to move the car off the forecourt?** Only if it is blocking a pump. Push it into a bay with help and the engine off; the drainer can work there. **What if I have already driven home?** Leave it on the drive with the engine off and call 01295 380724. The drainer can do the whole job at your house. **Will you bring fuel?** Yes. The drainer adds enough of the correct fuel to start the engine and reach a filling station. **What does it cost in Upton?** The call-out starts at £89. The full price depends on the vehicle and how far the fuel got, and it is confirmed on 01295 380724 before anyone travels. **How long does a drain take in Upton?** Usually 1 to 3 hours on site once the drainer arrives. Longer if the engine was started, because the filter and lines need flushing as well as the tank. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
