Ask them all. - What is the total, not just the call-out, if it is a straight drain? - Is the vehicle over 3.5 tonnes, and does that change the price? - Will you dispose of the contaminated fuel, and can I have a note of it? - Will you check the filter and pump if the engine ran? - Do you take card payment at the roadside? ## What to do right now - Don't turn the key. - Check what went in: the receipt and the pump number tell you the fuel and the litres. - Call 01295 380724 with those details and your location. - Get a price that covers the whole job, then book. - The drainer arrives, drains the tank, flushes the lines and filter if needed. - You get clean fuel, a running engine and a note of what was removed. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Bruntsfield Edinburgh. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee now starts at just £89 and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **Do I need to move the car off the forecourt?** Only if it is blocking a pump. Push it into a bay with help and the engine off; the drainer can work there. **What happens to the fuel you take out?** It goes into a sealed tank on the drainer's van and is taken for licensed disposal and recycling. It is never tipped away. **Do I need to stay with the car?** Ideally yes, so the drainer can confirm what happened and hand the keys back. If not, agree access on the phone. **Can I pay by card?** Yes. Card payment is taken on site once the job is done. **Do you work at night in Bruntsfield Edinburgh?** Yes. Drainers work 24 hours a day, including weekends and bank holidays. **Is the drain messy?** No. The fuel is pumped into a sealed tank on the van, and a drip tray catches anything from the connection. The area is left as it was. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
