We connect you to a drainer **Short answer** Keys out, then ring 01295 380724. For wrong fuel rescue in Limerick we connect you to an independent local drainer who covers the area, so you only explain it once. One phone call gets a drainer to the vehicle; they drain it, flush it, refuel it and leave, without a tow truck or a garage. Their price and arrival time are confirmed by them before they set off. In Ireland we do not run our own vans — we work with local fuel drainers and connect you to one covering Limerick. Call 01295 380724 and we will pass you straight to a drainer in your area with the details of the vehicle and the fuels involved, so you are not repeating the story twice. Pricing and attendance times are set by the local operator, not by us, so ask them to confirm both before they travel. ## Wrong fuel rescue in Limerick at a glance Town | Limerick | Area | County Limerick | Job | Wrong fuel rescue | Price | Set by the local drainer, agreed before travel | Time on site | 45–90 minutes | Who attends | An independent local drainer | Phone | 01295 380724, 24 hours | ## When a drainer arrives in Limerick Expect a van with a pump and a sealed waste tank. The drainer drains the tank, flushes the system through, refuels with enough clean fuel to reach a forecourt, then starts the engine and lets it settle. You do not need a garage and the vehicle does not move until it is ready. ## What to ask on the phone before a drainer travels to Limerick Most bad experiences with a fuel drain come from not asking these up front. Ask them all. - How long until you reach me in Limerick? - Will you dispose of the contaminated fuel, and can I have a note of it? - What is the total, not just the call-out, if it is a straight drain? - Will you check the filter and pump if the engine ran? - How much more if the engine has already been started? ## What to do right now - Leave the key out of the ignition and do not unlock the steering to push the car. - If you are at the pump, tell the cashier; most forecourts will let the car stay in a bay. - Call 01295 380724. Say what fuel went in, roughly how much, and where you are. - Agree the price on the phone. Nobody travels until you have. - The drainer pumps out the tank, flushes the lines and adds clean fuel. - They start the engine, check it runs cleanly and take the old fuel away. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Limerick. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee is set by the local drainer in Ireland and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **Can you drain a van or a lorry?** Vans, yes, routinely. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are quoted separately because of the volume involved. **Do I need to move the car off the forecourt?** Only if it is blocking a pump. Push it into a bay with help and the engine off; the drainer can work there. **Will my engine be damaged?** Not if it has not been started. The wrong fuel sitting in the tank touches nothing that a drain cannot clear. Damage starts once it circulates. **Does insurance cover wrong fuel rescue?** Many policies exclude misfuelling. Some breakdown cover and optional add-ons include it. Check your policy wording before assuming either way. **Can I drive to a garage with wrong fuel rescue?** No. Every mile pushes the fuel further through the pump and injectors. A drainer comes to you, so there is no reason to move the car under its own power. **Do you cover all of Limerick?** Yes — forecourts, roadsides, homes and workplaces across Limerick and the surrounding area. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
