--- title: Wrong fuel in Wembury Plymouth: local drainer from £89 url: https://wrongfueldrain.com/wrong-fuel/wembury-plymouth/ focus: wrong fuel wembury plymouth phone: 01295 380724 updated: 2026-10-06 --- # Wrong fuel in Wembury Plymouth, drained on the spot **Short answer** The single most useful thing you can do now is nothing — leave the engine off. Then call 01295 380724. A drainer who works Wembury Plymouth drains wrong fuel on the spot, flushes through and refuels, typically in 45 to 90 minutes, with a call-out from £89 confirmed up front. What matters most is whether the fuel has moved beyond the tank. Whatever went in, the order is the same: engine off, drain, flush, refuel. The earlier it is caught, the smaller the job. Once the tank is empty and the lines are flushed, the drainer adds enough of the correct fuel to get the engine running and to reach a filling station, then checks for warning lights before handing the keys back. ## Questions worth asking before you book a drain in Wembury Plymouth Most bad experiences with a fuel drain come from not asking these up front. Ask them all. - Can you work on the forecourt, or does the car need to be moved? - How much more if the engine has already been started? - Is the vehicle over 3.5 tonnes, and does that change the price? - What is the total, not just the call-out, if it is a straight drain? - Do you bring clean fuel, and is it included? ## What to do right now - Stop. Do not start the engine, even for a moment. - Note the fuel type, the amount you put in and whether the car was already low. - Ring 01295 380724 and give the location — a postcode or the filling station name is enough. - Get the full price and an arrival time before you agree. - A drainer attends, drains and flushes the fuel system where the car is parked. - Clean fuel goes in, the engine is run, and you drive to the next forecourt to fill up. Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Wembury Plymouth. The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee now starts at just £89 and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside. ## Common questions **Can I drive to a garage with wrong fuel?** No. Every mile pushes the fuel further through the pump and injectors. A drainer comes to you, so there is no reason to move the car under its own power. **How quickly can a drainer reach me in Wembury Plymouth?** Usually the same day and often within a couple of hours. The operator gives you an arrival window on 01295 380724 before you agree. **Do you work at night in Wembury Plymouth?** Yes. Drainers work 24 hours a day, including weekends and bank holidays. **What if I have already driven home?** Leave it on the drive with the engine off and call 01295 380724. The drainer can do the whole job at your house. **Can you drain a van or a lorry?** Vans, yes, routinely. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are quoted separately because of the volume involved. **Can I pay by card?** Yes. Card payment is taken on site once the job is done. ### Who you are dealing with Wrong Fuel Drain is a brand of [Fuel Fixer Ltd](https://www.fuelfixer.co.uk/) (company number 08520551), a company of Fuel Fixer International, the multinational group behind this website.
