Fuel drain in Castletroy Limerick: a local drainer
Don't start it. Fuel drain in Castletroy Limerick is handled by a local drainer we work with in Ireland — call 01295 380724 and we hand you over with the details. A fuel drain empties the tank of whatever should not be there, flushes the lines and refills with the right fuel. Pricing is the local operator's, agreed with you first.
How Ireland works
Wrong Fuel Drain operates its own mobile technicians across the UK. In Ireland we do not run our own vans — we work with local fuel drainers and connect you to one covering Castletroy Limerick. Call 01295 380724 and we will pass you straight to a drainer in your area with the details of the vehicle and the fuels involved, so you are not repeating the story twice. Pricing and attendance times are set by the local operator, not by us, so ask them to confirm both before they travel.

The drain itself, step by step in Castletroy Limerick
The job is quieter than people expect. Tank drained into the van, lines flushed, clean fuel added, engine started and watched for a few minutes. The waste fuel is logged and taken for licensed disposal, and you get a receipt showing what was done.
Questions worth asking before you book a drain in Castletroy Limerick
A drainer should be happy to answer all of these on the phone. If they will not give a price before travelling, ring someone else.
- What is the total, not just the call-out, if it is a straight drain?
- Do you take card payment at the roadside?
- How much more if the engine has already been started?
- Is there an extra charge at night or at the weekend?
- Will you check the filter and pump if the engine ran?
What to do right now
- Don't press the start button or turn the key.
- Take a photo of the pump display: it shows the fuel type and the litres.
- Ring 01295 380724 and describe where the car is.
- Agree the price before booking — the call-out starts at £89.
- The drainer empties the tank and flushes the system where the car stands.
- They refuel, start the engine and check it before handing back the keys.

The drainers who cover Castletroy Limerick also work Mungret Limerick, Corbally Limerick, Rosbrien Limerick and Annacotty Limerick, so a call from any of them is handled the same way.

From the drainer's notebook
Fuel Fixer, the company behind Wrong Fuel Drain, holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 2,190 reviews on Trustpilot, on a profile claimed since 2017.
Across recent reviews, the themes customers raise most often are staff who stay polite, professional and reassuring during what is a stressful situation, and how quickly a technician arrives and gets the vehicle back on the road in Castletroy Limerick.
The most common criticism is price. Some customers have felt the cost of an emergency drain was steep for a job that takes under two hours, and that is fair comment on an emergency call-out. It is why the misfuel call-out fee is set by the local drainer in Ireland and why the full figure is quoted on the phone before a technician sets off — so nothing about the cost is a surprise at the roadside.
Common questions
How quickly can a drainer reach me in Castletroy Limerick?
Usually the same day and often within a couple of hours. The operator gives you an arrival window on 01295 380724 before you agree.
Does insurance cover fuel drain?
Many policies exclude misfuelling. Some breakdown cover and optional add-ons include it. Check your policy wording before assuming either way.
Can you drain a van or a lorry?
Vans, yes, routinely. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are quoted separately because of the volume involved.
How long does a drain take in Castletroy Limerick?
Usually 45 to 90 minutes on site once the drainer arrives. Longer if the engine was started, because the filter and lines need flushing as well as the tank.
Do you cover all of Castletroy Limerick?
Yes — forecourts, roadsides, homes and workplaces across Castletroy Limerick and the surrounding area.
Do you work at night in Castletroy Limerick?
Yes. Drainers work 24 hours a day, including weekends and bank holidays.
